Message :Nice driving position on your part and that track sure looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for the vid.
and he agreed,
- is hand position... "quit moving your effing hands!!!" You should never remove your hand from the wheel. it should always be at 9 and 3. placing a piece of yellow/red/pink tape on the center of the steering wheel makes a HUGE difference. It helps 'point' the way. I highly recommend folks try it.
- is agressiveness... "smoooooth... make it smooooth!!!". The smoother you are, the slower you feel like you are going, the faster you can go. Once you get all choppy and overly agressive with steering input, the more correction you'll be doing in the turn. which equals slower, and more likely to make an off track excursion.
- is "the line" (sorta)... "use ALL of the track. let it drift out. you'll get higher track out speeds..." He had the line down, but was cheating himself on track out points primarily. very minor detail in retrospect. All the actual races i've been to, I rarely see anyone sticking to the line, especially when in traffic.
